This Drawing is Metal Gasket plate for foundation. A gasket is a ring or sheet composed of a supple material used in static applications to seal joints, flanges, and other mating surfaces to prevent leakage. Depending on the material and application, gaskets can be produced using a broad range of manufacturing techniques, including: Rubber extrusion. In a gasketed plate heat exchanger, the plates are fitted with elastomeric gaskets which seal the channels and direct the fluids into alternate channels. The plate pack is assembled between a frame plate and a pressure plate, and compressed by tightening bolts fitted between these plates. Base plate design is a key part of any structure design because loads are transferred from the superstructure to the foundation via the base plate. The base plate acts as an interface between the superstructure and the foundation; thus, completing the load path into the foundation. For more details and information download the drawing file.
